Two weeks ago Jake and I took a trip out to Moscow, Idaho. Our plans were to go visit the University of Idaho (where Jake will be doing his Graduate program in 5 months), and look at the housing options.
We decided to leave Wednesday afternoon, and drove through Lolo National Park. It was a beautiful/curvy long drive, especially when you travel with a baby who is still breastfeeding. Instead of staying in Moscow, we chose to stay in Lewiston which is half an hour South of Moscow.
On Thursday we went apartment hunting. We went to about 8 different apartments, and we found one place that we would love to live in. The place that we would like to live in is called Hillside Village Apartments. We only found out about it by the wife of one of the bishops. So we applied, and we are second on the waiting list. Now we just have to wait till November/ December to find out if we can move in in January.
Then on Friday we went for our tour of the University. It is a beautiful campus, but is definitely going to be different then BYU-Idaho. It was interesting for us to see Greek housing (fraternities and sororities), especially because they were doing their recruitment process while we were doing our tour. But after our tour/financial/academic meeting, we decided to drive back to Helena that night. Then instead of driving through Lolo Park, we took the road through Coeur D’Alene.
Overall, it was a very successful trip! And William did great with having to be in his car seat pretty much the whole time. Go Will!
Jacob took these pictures when we stopped in Lolo National Park. It is truly a beautiful area.
