Rissers Beach.
Jacob didn’t enjoy the salt water! I don’t know what he was expecting.
Blueberry Acres. Huge blueberries that tasted so sweet! Our buckets were slow to fill because we kept eating them instead of picking them for later.
Canadian bowling! I know and love playing this way.
Jacob had a hard time adjusting.
Here we are at Peggy’s Cove! It was a great overcast day with loads of people all over the rocks.
Such a great place to take beautiful pictures.
This is the momma pose! Alive and loving it!
On one of the docks in Lunenburg.
This ice cream was amazing and probably part of the reason Jacob gained 20 pounds over this month long trip.
Part of the Halifax harbour.
Jacob would have made a great captain in the Canadian Navy. ;)
Kejemakujuk Adjuct. First of many hikes on our trip.
North River Wilderness Hiking Trails. Taking a rest at one of the small waterfall areas.
Skyline Trail. We could see a pod of whales down the mountain, but we were more interested in trying to see Prince Edward Island.
It was a rough beginning, but Jacob made a new friend with my grandfather’s bird, Mr. Buttons.
Jacob and Zoey studying for the GMAT.
Great family time! Dinner was always a group effort.
Hurricane Danny. It was more of a tropical storm by the time it hit the Maritimes, with some great winds. Picture taken from inside my parent’s house.
Mom decided to take us down to Crescent Beach while the storm was still going on. The waves after the hurricane where pretty good! Rissers Beach was even shut down because it was too dangerous for the public.
Fort Louisbourg. Around 100 degrees, the hottest they have seen it there in years.
Jacob got hungry and took matters into his own hands and bought a 5 pound whole wheat loaf of bread. Jacob thought it seemed like a good idea to share with everyone, but none of us wanted it. It was like glue and Jacob was not only burdened with the idea of wasting $4.50 on something that no one wanted, but he had to carry it around the rest of the day. Poor guy.
Ferry ride over to PEI.
That wheel in the left of the picture added an obstacle in the putting green. Unfortunately Jacob landed on “human obstacle.” I happily volunteered!
Captain Scotts on the Cavendish Boardwalk. The best fish and chips I have ever had in my life. We go every time we visit the island.
Part of Cavendish Beach.
Greenwich Dunes Trail. One on the many beaches we went to. It was absolutely beautiful.
